About Punk Rock Bowling

In the late ’90s, Youth Brigade’s Mark and Shawn Stern started a bowling league at Bay Shore Lanes in Santa Monica. Labels, bands, people from the scene. Nobody planned for it to become anything else. Over two and a half decades, it became one of the loudest weekends in punk rock: a four-day Memorial Day blowout in Las Vegas featuring 100+ bands across two outdoor stages, late-night club shows, pool parties, art exhibitions, book signings, lounge performances, and enough going on that you’ll miss half of it no matter what.

A festival, yes. But more accurately, a reunion. A community that shows up for each other year after year.
