REGISTRATION COSTS & DEADLINES
$295 for teams (4 members). We have a handful of lanes left, and it's first come first serve, so email: bowling@byorecords.com to inquire about a team today!!!. NEW TEAMS: Unfortunately, we can make no gurantee as to whether you will be able to register a new team. The best thing to do is to email: wait@byorecords.com with your contact info and best way to reach you. Occassionally, we have teams that drop out at the last minute. Sorry for any inconvenience. There are only so many lanes and most teams do come back.
BOWLING: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Show Up On Time
You have been assigned a squad number, and a lane number which is written on the front of your registration envelope which has your show tickets and wristbands. If you’re a typical musician, you’ve lost it already, but no need to worry, because we’ve posted lane assignments on the wall throughout the bowling alley. If you’re in Squad #1, be at your lane between 11:30-11:45am, Squad #2, between 2:30pm and 2:45pm, and Squad #3 between 5:30pm and 5:45pm. Make sure that all the names on your team have been entered on your screen correctly. Someone will come by your lane before bowling begins to make any corrections and answer any questions. Squad #1 has to be finished bowling the 3 games by 2:45pm, Squad #2 by 5:45pm and Squad #3 by 8:45pm If you don’t finish all the games by that time, we will have to take your total score up to that point and use that as your final team score. Please note: Although you could probably skate by without picking up your team's packet at the Friday Registration (see the schedule page), you really shouldn't skip it. Your show tickets for the kick off show on Friday and the Awards ceremony are in there. Sorry folks, after 8 years of "bro, i swear, my team mate has it" and "dude, I can't find it", we can't be responsible for lost or stolen tickets. Make sure you send the sober-est one of your lot to pick those up!
EARLY REGISTRATION, show tickets, and wristbands
If you didn’t register early, you can pick up your tickets to the show and your wristbands for the awards party at the outside table at the show venue after 7pm Fri. night. After this, you get one last shot and that's to pick it up at the scoring booth on Sat morning. Shoes & Balls If you have your own shoes and balls, we highly recommend that you bring them, or you might be stuck with slippers and a bochi ball. If you don’t have shoes, give the front desk the raffle ticket that you recieved inside the registration pack to get a pair. League Bowling You will be bowling league style bowling, which means that you will be switching lanes for each frame that you bowl. Look at the arrow next to your name on the screen, which will tell you what lane you should be bowling on for that frame. IF YOU OR THE TEAM NEXT TO YOU MAKES A MISTAKE (bowl in the wrong lane/order), PLEASE GO TO THE DESK AND HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED BY THE SCORE ASSIST* Handicap To give everyone a fair shot at the prize money, we have implemented a handicap system that is based on 70% of the difference of your average subtracted from 200. So if you averaged 120 points over your 3 games, we would deduct 120 points from 200, multiply the remaining 80 points X 70% and give you a starting handicap of 56 points per game. If you bowled last year, youÕre handicap will be based on the average of your 3 games from the first day only. If you didnÕt bowl last year, youÕre handicap will be calculated AFTER you bowl your 3 games on day 1, and added or subtracted from your total score throughout the entire tournament. If you are a returning bowler and on a different team this year, let us know your previous team when you register so we can get your handicap. The order you submit your names at the time of registration is the order you will bowl in. Each returning bowler will have their handicap assigned at that time.We will send out an e-mail about a week before the tournament with the information on your team, any handicaps for returning bowlers, as well as hotel and poker player info if you have rooms and/or you are playing in the poker tournament. Please keep in mind that there are 672 bowlers to keep track of. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO LET US KNOW IF YOU CHANGED TEAMS or if you need to correct any of the information we have. *If you do any of the following, you may lose your handicap and get only your scratch score or have your team disqualified, so pay attention!* ...If you don't inform us of any mistakes or omissions in your handicap from the previous tournament before bowling commences you cannot get the previous handicap. You will get a new one based on your first day of this tournament...Do not try to change the order of your bowlers as this could cause you to get someone else's handicap. You may lose your handicap or be disqualified!!! Do not change bowlers before or during the tournament, you will be disqualified!!! Do not attempt to bring outside bowlers in as "members" of your team, ringers will be disqualified and your team will be banned forever from our tournament!!!! Playoffs If you are one of the top 32 teams that made the playoffs (check the posted results at the bowling alley Saturday late night), CONGRATULATIONS!!! Find your lane assignment on the board, and get over there. You will be playing head to head elimination rounds, winners advance and losers are finished. If you lose, you will place according to your total team score from that round only. Round 1 - 17th through 32nd place, Round 2 - 9th through 16th place, Round 3 - 5th through 8th place, Round 4 - 3rd & 4th place and the Championship Round will be head to head for 1st and 2nd place. B League Playoffs If you are a team that placed #33-88 from day one, you will be bowling in the ÒBÓ league playoffs (check the posted results at the bowling alley and around the casino), your lane assignments will be posted on the wall throughout the bowling alley. You will bowl 1 game on your assigned lane, and the top 3 teams will receive cash prizes and teams 4-8 will recieve sponsor donated merchandise. ONCE AGAIN, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE IT TO THE LANES ON TIME, IF YOU ARE LATE, YOU CAN BE DISQUALIFIED. IF YOUR TEAM QUALIFIES FOR THE PLAYOFFS AND YOU ARE LEAVING OR DO NOT WISH TO BOWL ON SUNDAY, PLEASE LET US KNOW SATURDAY SO WE CAN ADJUST THE STANDINGS FOR THE OTHER TEAMS!!!
